Baby Girl's Special Day

Jentry's blessing day was September 4th. We felt very blessed to have some of our family come to town to support us and spend time together. Our very good friends, the Tiemans, threw an after party at their house, and we all had a great time socializing and eating. I feel very lucky to have the priesthood in our home, and that Jentry will grow up with a dad who can baptize her and give her blessings. Other men who participated were: Grandpa Jan, Uncle Leighton, Uncle Michael, and family friends Tom and Josh Tieman, Derek Snider, and Eric Beus. I am very grateful to all who came and participated. It was such a sweet blessing, and I will never forget the spirit that was felt during it.

6 Weeks

My mom, baby, and I

Jex, his mom, and baby

Jex, his dad, and baby

Jex's stepmom and baby

Little sister, baby, and I

We have been fortunate to have a lot of family coming to visit since the arrival of our little one. Most recently, my little sister. Next week, the other one will be coming. I am very excited, because in the six years we have been living down here, this is the first time either of them have made the trip. My mom came first, about three days after we had the baby. Jex's mom came next, then his dad and stepmom. It was great having all the help, and we were even able to get out of the house by ourselves. It really made us wish we lived close to family right now.

I can't believe our baby girl is six weeks old already! Everyone is always saying how fast time flies once you have a child, and how quickly they grow, and I totally understand that now. It is amazing how much they change on a daily basis, and also a little heart breaking. Since I am a new and paranoid mom, and she isn't the easiest baby to take places, I have been quite the hermit since we brought her home. She did finally go to church last Sunday, cute, pink outfit compliments of Auntie Tara. I am sad to say that I will be returning to work in two weeks, and my sweet baby will be with her daddy while I'm away. The problem is that she is such a mama's girl, and cries a lot when I am not the one caring for her. Any advice from you experienced moms is welcomed.

Baby Girl

As of 7/14/11, we are the very proud parents of this baby girl. It took a good 12 1/2 hours to get her here, and it wasn't without any scares, but she is here now, happy, healthy, and being loved by her parents. It is amazing how as soon as a baby arrives, life changes. The things we think about, worry about, care about, and want, are totally different, at least for me. I can't imagine life without her now, and can't believe I am her mommy and that Heavenly Father is trusting me with her care. I am so thankful for the wonderful friends and family that have already helped us so much. We are forever in debt to the Tieman clan, and appreciate their friendship so much! My mom was here for a week, cleaning like crazy and taking care of us, and there is more family coming all the way down here to visit, help out, and love on the newest member of the family. We are grateful for, and love you all!

38 Weeks And Counting

This pregnancy has flown and dragged by at the same time. I think I have always felt that I would have all my babies early, because my mom did, and by two weeks at least. My due date is the 15th, which means yesterday would have made her two weeks early. Automatically, I am in pessimist mode, thinking I will probably be late. This is especially difficult, because I am working up until I have her, and my job isn't easy whether pregnant or not. I am doing my best to focus on my blessings, including the fact that it has been a pretty good pregnancy, not that I have others to compare it to, besides those of other women, and that so far throughout all of this, I have a healthy baby growing inside of me. I have been pretty spoiled too. Not only was a baby shower thrown for me when I was home for a quick trip in April, but I had another one here in May, and a third one here in June. I am blessed to be surrounded by so many good people who are willing to help whenever needed, and who make me feel so loved!

Quick Visit Home 4/2011

We took a quick trip home 4/2011 for Danny's wedding. It was great to see everyone, but sad that we were only there for three days.

21 Weeks

Well, this is what I look like today. Not feeling so hot, but I guess I'd better get used to it, because it isn't going to get any prettier. I'm feeling pretty good. I have random days of nausea, fatigue, and back pain, but I guess I can't complain considering what some women go through.
